1. Envisage (verb): Contemplate or conceive of as a possibility or a desirable future event. (परिकल्पना करना/संभावना का ध्यान करना)
  • Synonyms: Foresee, Predict, Forecast, Foretell, Anticipate, Expect, Envision.
  • Antonyms: Disregard, Ignore.
Example: The government envisages the possibility of concrete production of crops due to good rainy season.
Verb forms: Envisage, Envisaged, Envisaged.

2. Rout (noun): A defeat of an individual, army, group, or team.  (ज़बर्दस्त हार)
  • Synonyms: Debacle, Defeat, Retreat,
  • Antonyms: Triumph, Win, Victory.
Example: After the dictator’s rout, the people finally had control of their country.
Verb forms: Rout, Routed, Routed.

3. Tenacious (adjective): Tending to keep a firm hold of something / persisting in existence. (दृढ़)
  • Synonyms: Persevering, Persistent, Pertinacious, Determined, firm,

Example: Although the odds were against them, the tenacious group of soldiers held on until reinforcements arrived.

6. Proximity (noun): Nearness in space, time, or relationship. (निकटता/सामीप्य)
  • Synonyms: Closeness, Nearness, Juxtaposition, Propinquity, Adjacency.
  • Antonyms: Distance, Remoteness.
Example: Because Mary left her sandwich in close proximity to her dog, she did not have anything for lunch.

7. Agrarian (adjective): Relating to cultivated land or the cultivation of land. (कृषि संम्बन्धी)

Example: When the factories closed, many people in our town went back to working in agrarian fields like farming.

8. Groom (verb): Prepare or train (someone) for a particular purpose or activity. (तैयार करना)

  • Antonyms: Ruin, Weaken.
Example: After years of training Joy could not groom himself to be adept in singing.

9. Autocratic (adjective): Not concerned about the wishes or opinions of others/ characteristic of an absolute ruler. (निरंकुश/स्वेच्छाचारी)
  • Synonyms: Arbitrary, Domineering, Absolute, Bossy.
  • Antonyms: Democratic.
Example: The autocratic principal never listened to the teachers’ ideas about raising student morale.

10. Wary (adjective): Feeling or showing caution about possible dangers or problems. (सावधान/चौकस)

Example: Investors are increasingly wary about putting money into stocks.
