1. Abstain (verb): Formally decline to vote either for or against a proposal or motion./ restrain oneself from doing something. (मतदान में भाग नहींलेना/से अलग रहना)
  • Synonyms: Refrain, Shun, Abnegate, Avoid, Isolate, Defer.
  • Antonyms: Indulge, Take part.
Example: Because of my health, I am going to abstain from the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

2. Prompt (adjective): Done without delay; immediate (तात्कालिक/शीघ्र)

Example: While the man thought he was charming the ladies at the bar, he was actually offending them with his outrageous comments.

Example: Because of your partisan views, you are unwilling to look at other options.
